This isn’t going to be a lengthy review since I don’t have too much to say about this book other than I really didn’t enjoy it. This was my first Kurt Vonnegut book, and I had high hopes since a lot of people seem to rave about him, so I was pretty disappointed. I understand that it was a commentary on the human condition and perhaps some of it went over my head, but I disliked the characters, the plot, the “And So On’s,” the drawings—it was all very confusing and overall unenjoyable to read. There were a few quotes that stood out, and a funny moment or two but other than that nothing. I have Slaughterhouse-Five on my list of books to read but now I’m not sure. My favourite part of the book was when it was over—I know I’m probably offending the book gods but that’s just how I feel.
